Day one after Class

I took my basic photography class last night.  I learned a lot, and learned I don't know a lot.  But was able to try out a few settings.

Auto

Landscape with a wide shot

Then crop the picture

Then crop some more. Since it was a wide shot, the whole picture stays sharp even after cropping

Portrait with zoom for softer background

Action mode

Pay attention to placement and composition

 And on a cold day like today, wear gloves with finger tips cut off.  OK I didn't learn that in class, but it was really cold this morning.

In The Beginning............

In the beginning.  First week trying out my new camera, Nikon D3000.  Looking forward to learning to use the camera and to evolve as a photographer.  Can't wait to learn what I don't know, which is.....Everything!
